Governance and Administration in India with Flow Chart UGC NET
Governance refers to,
“formulating the laws, policies and acts, whereas the administration is implementing the laws and policies enacted by the governance.”
In simple terms, it is the formulation of laws, polices, ordinances whereas administration related to day to day functioning of departments and law and order. According to Wikipedia,
“Governance refers to “all processes of governing, whether undertaken by a government, market or network, whether over a family, tribe, formal or informal organisation or territory and whether through laws, norms, power or language.”
Administration refers to, “the process or activity of running a business, organization, etc.”
Difference between Governance and Administration

“Governance means interaction between the formal institutions and those in civil society. It is like a pattern of rules or practices of governing. It states the way in which an organisation or government exercises economic, political, and administrative control.”
Administration refers to the process of fulfilling tasks decided and discussed by the governance.
