Give a brief explanation of Thorndike’s multi factor theory.

L. Thorndike was an American psychologist who emphasized on comparative psychology which led to the development of connectionism theory. He was the first person to make the application of psychological principles in the field of learning. He observed animal behavior to develop the theory of connectionism. He believes that behavior results from response to a particular stimuli through a trial and error process.
