Quality of life refers to the level of health and well-being a child experiences. Children who are healthy and happy are more likely to succeed in school and in life. A child with poor health and low self-esteem is at risk for academic underachievement and social problems in school and in life. Conversely, a child with high levels of self-esteem and good health is more likely to be successful in school and in life.
