The differences between development, maturation, growth, and learning are as follows:
  1. Growth is related with the physical factors whereas maturation, development, and learning involves all factors.
  2. Growth can be measured but the development, maturation, and learning of a person cannot be measured.
  3. Development, learning, and maturation is a continuous process whereas growth is not a continuous process.
  4. Development, learning, and maturation takes place lifelong whereas growth stops when one becomes an adult.
  5. Development, maturation, and learning takes place in all areas whereas growth is mainly physical.
