Rabindranath Tagore established Viswabharathi University near Santiniketan in 1921 which is now a university under the Central Government. He also composed the national anthem of India. Rabindranath Tagore was an educationist more than he was a political thinker. He focused on ‘naturalism’ for framing educational models.
